shelley
YaQuis Shelley is the loving husband of his High School sweetheart Cameika Shelley whom he fondly refers to as "The Wife of his Life". Together they are the proud parents of five beautiful children consisting of two girls and three boys. Coach Shelley keeps busy with his family, pastoring at The Hand of the Lord, International and his many outreach endeavors, which includes volunteering his time to youth sports.

 

Coach Shelley has been a dedicated participant and supporter of youth sports for more than 10 years, which includes his last 5 years as a devoted coach at Wade Walker Park. He has had many athletic victories and accomplishments which include leading his teams to four championship games winning two of them. In addition to his credentials Coach Shelley has an overwhelming passion for providing a positive avenue by which children can excel in life regardless of their environment or finances. Coming from humble beginnings with little resources in a single parent home Coach Shelley especially identifies with the plight of young men within the community.

 

Having overcome the odds himself through the love, support and opportunities presented to him by others, Coach Shelley aims to be used in the same manner with the expectation that it will produce change and give hope into the lives of other young men. This is why he uses his coaching opportunity as an avenue by which he can mentor young men about the importance of education, accepting responsibility, the benefits of unity and developing life skills while the players find enjoyment participating in healthy competition.



rivers

Born and raised in Tallahassee, FL, Shango Rivers attended Lincoln High School where he played Varsity Football 10th, 11th, 12th grade (Started 11th & 12th). During his 12th grade year he was honored to be apart of the 1st undefeated football team in Lincoln High school's history where they Ranked #1 in the state and were in the top 10 in the country. When Coach Rivers graduated High school in 1997 he was offered a partial scholarship to attend the University of Florida but decided to attend Florida A&M University. It was there in 1998 that he continued his football career as he joined the FAMU football team. In addition to playing football he received a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Religion when he graduated in 2001. He later furthered is studies in 2003 when he received a Masters Degree in African American Studies.

 

Coach Rivers is now happily married to Shana Rivers and they are enjoying parenting their son Ayden John while anxiously awaiting the arrival of their second child. Outside of his home life he is a dedicated Minister and Musician at The Hand of the Lord, International and a Teacher at Tucker Middle School where he has taught since 2005. Coach Rivers has used his love for children and his appetite for football to be combined by joining the coaching staff at Tucker Middle School's Football and Track Team as well as Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator here for 10U Blue. His family oriented background and experience brings a well needed comfort to the players he coaches.

 

dunlap

Christopher Dunlap is a Miami Florida native who attended Miramar High School in Miramar, Florida where he soared on the football field alongside his teammates as Wide Receiver and was honored to be selected All County First Team during his Senior Year.

 

In 2003, following High School, Coach Dunlap transitioned to Georgia Tech as his place of choice to pursue his college education and continue his football career. It was there that he also played as Wide Receiver from 2003-2007. During his Senior year in 2007 Coach Dunlap's dedication and outstanding athletic abilities didn't go unnoticed as he served as Team Captain and received the "Georgia Tech Way" Award.

 

Christopher Dunlap spread his wings further and gained more experience and knowledge when he went on to participate in Training Camp with the New England Patriots as a rookie in 2007 and 2008. In the fall of 2008 he played in the Canadian Football League in Montreal, Quebec with the Montreal Alouettes.

 

In Hollywood, FL Coach Dunlap served as Wide Receivers Coach at McArthur High School but upon finishing a season there he returned to Atlanta, Georgia. In 2010, he completed his college education and graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Business Management.

 

Currently Coach Dunlap is excited about being able to positively impact the lives of today's youth as he cultivates their football talents. His wealth of experience is sure to be a welcomed addition.
